Ballast Nedam partners with LawyerlinQ to launch its legal flex pool

Amsterdam, 16 February 2023

Construction and development company Ballast Nedam is setting up its own flex pool of lawyers.

Wim van de Koot, head of legal at Ballast Nedam: "We have a high-quality team of in-house lawyers, most of them have a corporate or construction law background. The dynamics within our sector mean that the influx of work for our team varies greatly. Therefore, the flex pool of professionals enables us to scale up our service to the business at peak times. We were already used to working with flexible lawyers, but through the cooperation with LawyerlinQ we expect to be able to distribute the extra work more effectively and efficiently."

Ballast Nedam's legal department chooses to work with LawyerlinQ to further build its flex pool. To this end, LawyerlinQ uses its self-developed technology for distributing legal work. This SaaS (Software as a Service) solution has become a household name for the top-end of the legal profession.

Maarten Hagen of LawyerlinQ: "Ballast Nedam's desire to further professionalize the flexible deployment of legal professionals is an example of the development that has been going on for years within the top of the legal business. We see that corporate legal departments are increasingly focusing on their core tasks, and additional expertise is increasingly being purchased from various providers or independent professionals. By deploying user-friendly technology, we can make the procurement process easier and arrange it more efficiently."
